Welcome to Robin Sage: A Functional Fitness Event co-hosted by CrossFit Optimistic and Bedlam CrossFit. On April 25th same sex teams of 3 will compete at Bedlam CrossFit in San Antonio, Texas. Robin Sage is a functional fitness event with “Open” divisions that will be accessible to all fitness levels. In this single "Open" division we welcome scaled, RX, and masters athletes. The WODs will be accessible to all fitness levels and will challenge the most experienced CrossFitter. Through the proceeds and fundraising, our goal is to raise $15,000 for the Green Beret Foundation.
About The Green Beret Foundation
What is the Green Beret Foundation?

For a decade the Green Beret Foundation has provided direct and continuous support to the Green Beret Community and its families. What is Robin Sage?
Robin Sage is a two week unconventional warfare training exercise that marks the final test in the grueling training process to become a Green Beret. Spanning many counties in North Carolina, the special forces candidates plan and execute various missions similar to what they will face as Green Berets.
The name Robin Sage comes from two distinct pieces: a place and a person. First, “Robin” comes from the town Robbins, North Carolina where a portion of the event is executed. Second, “Sage” comes from the Army Colonel Jerry Sage. In WWII he was in the OSS, the precursor to Green Berets and CIA. He became a POW in Germany, and later taught unconventional warfare tactics at West Point.
In honor of the Green Berets and the sacrifices they made for our country, we named our competition and fundraiser Robin Sage.
